I tried to post this last night but fell asleep at the keyboard. So. Without further ado or adon’t, yesterday’s stats for my first NaNo Day One in seven years and my first ever JuNo Day One, period: titles: 1 (The Priestess Murders — a Light-Walkers murder mystery) wordcount on story: 2,427 wordcount on notes:879 …
Dear Two Remaining Faithful Readers, I’m back. Sort of. Maybe. Long story short (too late), I have made the probably unwise choice of signing up for JuNoWriMo. It’s 99% like NaNoWriMo, except that it’s in June instead of November and it’s not affiliated with NaNoWriMo except for having gained permission to use the concept Mad …
Hello, blog. Long time no write. As the two of you who still read this blog already know, I went on a social media hiatus last summer. I call it that, but what I’ve really done is absent myself from the platforms of Facebook and Twitter. The reasons for my decision are myriad, but the …
Last night, I wrote about my hope, my not-hope, and my forever-hope, all threaded through with the discouraging guanoshow that was 2016 A.D. Today, I turn my mind and heart to lovelier things. When it came to reading and writing, 2016 was one of my best years ever. 🙂 On Reading in 2016 In 2016, …

Egad, I bet ya’ll thought that sentence would never end. (BUT I HAVE A MILLION OF THEM OH …

Hile, lovelies, I’d been thinking I hadn’t blogged since January, and then I check and find that I last blogged in February. On Valentine’s Day, to be prezact. And it was my poetical ode to villains, which is extra appropriate to look back upon today. ‘Cause this post is gonna be POETRY Y’ALL. BANGERANG. So, …
Second post in one day. This is a new record for the last couple of years. In case you missed it, I just posted the first installment of my Valentine’s Day poetry tweets. Those were the random ones. Below for your enjoyment, please find the ones that make a full poem (of sorts). Since Valentine’s …
Happy Valentine’s Day, inklings. I say that a bit tongue-in-cheek. The husband and I do cards and sort-of flowers: He brings them home, gives them to me, and then they live in the bathroom behind closed doors because Pippin thinks they’re her salad. Some years we go out on a Valentine’s date, but it doesn’t …
